The distribution conveyor is a laundry sorting system useful for tasks in which items are sorted and, in general, when a product is to undergo different production steps. It is used in various industries and in dry cleaners and industrial laundries.
It consists of a conveyor with several outlets that automatically send the semi-finished products to the operator at his workstation; in fact, the system can feed the entire production chain. At the end of each step, the item is paired with a specific slot, moving it on to a new step. The slots in the conveyor belt are not numbered, but have a name that corresponds to the routing, i.e. the item’s destination (e.g. quality control, rewash, shirt ironing).
